Our agricultural branch is the cultivation of cherries. With a watchful eye, you will find many wild animals and insects in our plantations.
We actively support songbird and bat projects on the farm.
Some sheep, goats and rabbits still live on our land.
We gave up our livestock farming in the nineties. Nowadays, this has been taken over by highly specialised farms, which are usually not designed for tourism. Today, "milking cows" is done by milking robots.
Show animal husbandry" has become too controversial for us nowadays and we have decided to give it up.
The Sonnhalde Game Park is located in the immediate vicinity (10 minutes). Admission is free, you hike along natural paths with a beautiful panoramic view and experience tens of animal species up close. The Locherholz game reserve has mouflon, fallow deer and wild boar as well as designated hiking trails.
We do not offer riding facilities. There are several riding stables in the vicinity with riding facilities. Please contact us for more information.
We actively support the NABU Ravensburg. In cooperation with the NABU Ravensburg we implement projects such as a settlement of the white stork, the house martins and other songbirds on our farm.
We offer wild bees a habitat through the installation of nesting aids, which at the same time supports the pollination of the cherry blossoms. Here you can find more information and projects of NABU Ravensburg and how you can actively support the work of NABU Ravensburg.
As part of a bat project , we are helping to develop bat habitat by installing bat boxes and a butterfly and insect friendly dry stone wall.
